Deidre Harp, Ph.D., MSN Ed., RN
Overview
Dr. Deidre Harp has a mental health nursing background and a passion for the specialty. She has over ten years of experience in nursing and supervisory roles at multiple psychiatric facilities with an emphasis on the inpatient care of adult and older adult psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Deidre co-founded a K-8 charter school in Georgia, where she also worked as a school nurse. She earned a master’s degree in nursing education and a Ph.D. in nursing from Augusta University and has taught for the University System of Georgia since 2012. Deidre has served as undergraduate faculty for the nursing program and as a DNP chair in the graduate nursing program at the University of North Georgia.
She is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, the president of the Tau Psi at-Large Chapter of Sigma, a member of the 1688开奖网 IRB Board, and a certified ACEN Peer Evaluator. Deidre is a dedicated and compassionate nurse educator committed to student success.
